Abstract

An account of the development of the English language teaching in the Cuban higher education and, in particular, in higher medical education, is made. Taking into acount the value of the knowledge of this language to read and understand the literature of different professional profiles, the printed and the obtained by the information and communication technologies, it was condidered important to develop a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary curricular strategy to learn this language under the conditions of the new pedagogical model applied to the design of the Nursing and Health Technology university careers. A proposition is made to materialize this strategy that should be considered the starting point for a reflection.
