A methodology was proposed for the pedagogical professional approach of the class in the pedagogical university, focused on the prevention of school desertion, in which the essential budget was the balance of the interests of the student, those of the teacher and the university institution. Part of recognizing the integration of fundamental contents of the curriculum with professional pedagogical reasons for the cognitive-affective orientation of the subject towards the teaching profession. 7 steps were declared that went through to determine general foundations and characterize the state of Professional Guidance; identify potentialities of the discipline and subject programs, as well as the disposition of students and teachers; teaching classes with a professional pedagogical approach; control, evaluation and evaluation of the process. Theoretical and empirical methods were used. The implementation results revealed that the effectiveness of the Methodology depends on the contextualization of the content, the possibilities and expectations of the student and the reality or conditions of the teaching profession and their teachers.
