The main objective of this article is to determine the incidence of the application of the management information system for decision-making of the Tourism SMEs of the La Troncal City, for which a mixed approach and a descriptive and correlational design were used. The sample consisted of 20 SMEs from the Troncal tourism sector. A survey was used to determine the level of incidence of the application of the management information system in decision making within small businesses domiciled in the La Troncal city. Regarding the results, it was found that 100% of the surveyed sample has an information system and 50% of these use a decision-making support system, while 40% make use of the Information System and only 10% use the support system for executives. These results revealed that currently only 10% of these companies have stated that the information system they use provides quality and productivity in the decision-making process.
