MIRABAL GONZALEZ, Yamira et al. Management of cooperative companies and their contribution to local development in Cuba. Anales de la ACC [online]. 2022, vol.12, n.2 Epub 20-Jun-2022. ISSN 2304-0106.
Introduction:
Faced with the problem of how the cooperative, with its human, economic-productive, social and technological potential, position itself as a key development actor, it is proposed to improve cooperative management and its contribution to local development in Cuba, based on the design and implementation of theoretical-methodological and practical contributions.
Methods:
As theoretical methods, the historical-logical, systemic and modeling were applied and, as empirical, the measurement and the expert method. Associated with them, the analysis and synthesis procedures, scientific abstraction, induction - deduction and axiomatic - deductive were used; and the techniques of individual and group interview, survey and documentary analysis.
Results:
The theoretical-methodological conceptions and practical contributions associated with the process of institutionalization of the cooperative sector in Cuba and its link to the public management of local development are offered as results, which manage to influence national, sectoral and territorial public policies. Management technologies are introduced in the cooperative sector and its productive chains, which contribute to the consolidation of cooperatives as a key actor in territorial development. Methodological instruments are designed and applied for the control and evaluation of the economic-financial and social management of cooperative companies.
Conclusions:
A set of contributions is integrated into a systemic and strategic approach that improves the management of cooperative companies and their impact on sustainable local development, from the use of endogenous resources, the articulation with territorial governments and their insertion in the management of strategies of municipal and provincial development.
