The research objective was to highlight the importance of the development of scientific productions in the form of research articles from an epistemological positioning of the specific fields of knowledge. The methodology is explained by the qualitative approach of the object, with non-experimental design, use of methods of the theoretical level of knowledge; and at the empirical level, the fusion of documentary analysis, with the experience of the authors. In the results, discussion and conclusions, the value of the epistemological foundations of knowledge construction for university teacher-researchers and their students in training is presented, which points to the defense of the identity with which specific sciences and their construction and validation indicators have been forged.
