ESTRELLA LOPEZ, Blanca Cristina; SAA SABANDO, Byron Fabricio  y  CAICEDO RODRIGUEZ, Jenny Olivia. Educational proposal to improve the perception of risk of HIV spread in university students. Conrado [online]. 2022, vol.18, n.87, pp. 200-208.  Epub 02-Ago-2022. ISSN 1990-8644.

Sexually transmitted infections are one of the most frequent diseases that plague humanity. The Human Immunodeficiency Virus is among the most frequent in this group of diseases. The ages at which it appears are becoming less advanced, so adolescents and young people are affected by this virus in much of the world. It is necessary from the school, as a social institution, to provide pedagogical attention that contributes to prevention education and, therefore, to increase the level of risk perception in adolescents and young people. In this study, an evaluation was carried out on the level of perception of risk of contagion in university students. In addition, a proposal for educational intervention was developed to help reduce the number of people affected by this virus. To fulfill these objectives, descriptive research was carried out, for which a survey was applied to 156 young people from university education. The educational proposal was taken to expert consultation where methods such as the Pareto Diagram and Saaty's AHP were used to process the results obtained in it. Among the main results, it was found that young people do not have an adequate perception of risk in this regard, being the group of men the one with the highest incidence in this aspect.
