Resumen

The main objective of this paper is to analyze the importance of market research to develop technological innovation processes and its challenges on the Cuban business society. To accomplish this goal, it is imperative to take into account the context where in the economic, political, social and cultural fields, the Cuban technological innovation takes place. Although there have been some breakthroughs related with market research and technological innovation, its combination has hardly been carried out in most of the cases. One of the major challenges of this topic is to make executives, representatives and decision-makers aware of using market research as a cornerstone during the technological innovation processes.
