The study of housing of social interest in Ecuador, and concrete case in the citadel of El Recreo in Duran seeks to know the standards of functionality and comfort for families with low purchasing power. The data collection was carried out in the period from October to December of 2016, in five strata corresponding to the 5 stages that make up the citadel El Recreo, constituting itself in a simple dispersed type of sampling, where it was applied the technique of Interview with 300 families to measure the degree of comfort and functionality of the houses. Subsequent to the tabulation of the obtained data, we proceeded to the design of statistical graphs, which allowed performing a descriptive and dynamic analysis to diagnose the functional and comfort situation of the dwellings.
