To critically face the development of the scientific research in the university context, constitutes an unavoidable organizational requirement, if a university scientific projection is attempted in terms of the demands, aspirations, tendencies and global, national, territorial and institutional priorities. This context demands from the referenced entities the deployment and validation of mechanisms and procedures that guarantee the evaluation and development of the impact, and the relevance of the institutionally generated research. Precisely, the present work offers a proposal of indicators oriented towards the evaluation of the scientific research, in the context of Universidad Politécnica Salesiana de Ecuador (UPS).
