In the virtual modality in education there is little research; Being an educational modality with particular characteristics, it requires a research environment that respects its own tools, strategies and contexts. The objective of this article is to chronologically narrate the steps in the design and elaboration of an educational course that was proposed for intervention and obtaining data in the process of an investigation; In addition, to praise the importance of the design of methodological instruments according to the educational context of research in virtuality. Describe the sequence of actions that were devised and executed in the development of a course to upload to the network as part of an investigation. The results address the effectiveness in obtaining the information sought when considering the real educational context and the importance of the theoretical-methodological coherence of the research proposal with the designed instrument.
