The article addresses the need for professional pedagogical improvement of the teachers of the polytechnic school of Saurimo, Angola, in correspondence with the current scientific and technological development. The complex and difficult social situation of this country after the war became evident, economically, politically and socially. The article aims to substantiate the need for pedagogical improvement of the teachers of the Polytechnic School of Saurimo, Angola, for the improvement of their professional pedagogical performance in correspondence with the current scientific and technological development. Documentary analysis is applied as theoretical methods for the study of the normative documents of the educational policy of the Angolan state that guide the pedagogical improvement of teachers and the historical-logical one, for the analysis of the evolution of the research object. The main result is precisely the professional improvement of the teacher in Angola, which is currently a social necessity of the first order, since the efficient professional pedagogical performance of this agent depends on it. The efficient professional pedagogical performance of the teacher of the Technical Professional Education of Saurimo, Angola, will contribute to achieve, in the medium term, the scientific, cultural, technological and social transformation of the country.
