LOPEZ LLANUSA, Alejandro; ELENA PARNAS, Vivian B. y CATALDO OTTIERI, José. Atmospheric boundary layer simulation in wind tunnel for studies of solar panels. riha [online]. 2017, vol.38, n.3, pp. 52-64. ISSN 1680-0338.
The adequate reproduction of the atmospherically boundary layer (ABL) is of great significance in wind tunnel tests in order to guarantee the correspondence between the results in prototype and the model under study. In this process it is necessary the characterization of the wind regime at the site and a carefully selection of the devices to be employed at the wind tunnel to simulate these parameters. The main goal of this work is to present the process of simulation of the ABL in the wind tunnel test of a photovoltaic park to be located in Cuba. Results show adequate correspondence to the vertical wind profile, Von Kármán spectrum and turbulence intensity between Cuban wind characteristics for the surface type and wind tunnel boundary layer.
