Introduction: the called "middle age" during the climateric period covers from the 40 until the 50 years old, stage in which this research is conducted. The personal satisfaction in middle age women may becomes a particular expression in the middle point of life. This is a process of revaluation of the own life described by many people like the second crisis of identity. Objective: to characterize the personal satisfaction of the middle age woman and to analyze the repercussion in its quality of life due to its interaction with other factors of the daily life. Methods: a cross-sectional and descriptive study was conducted in 166 climateric women from three medical consulting room of the "Ana Betancourt" University Polyclinic of the "Playa municipality in a Habana from April, 2010 to March, 2011. Results: the 48.2 % of study women are satisfied according to the ISP-RELEBA, prevailing in the age group between 45 and 49 years. During perimenopause there is a great number of satisfied women (18.07 %) and that with a mean satisfaction (25.30 %) for a total of 72 women (49 %) of 103 who are going by this stage of climateric. Conclusions: the light or asymptomatic intensity of the climateric syndrome, as well as the functional or moderately functional families, with a good resident hygienic environment increase the incidence of middle age women satisfied or slightly satisfied.
