Mortalidad por accidentes en la infancia: una problemática actual. Rev Cubana Med Gen Integr [online]. 1999, vol.15, n.6, pp. 621-625. ISSN 1561-3038.

An analysis is made on the incidence of mortal accidents and their causes in patients at pediatric age in the province of Villa Clara from 1994 to 1997. Those aged 5-14 were the most affected with a predominance of males. Traffic accidents were the most frequent cause every years. The highest number of deaths were reported in 1996. It is necesary to strenghten the program for the reduction of accidents among children.
