Introduction:
early neurostimulation by teachers is important in pre-school learning. Objective: to evaluate an educational strategy on neurofunctions in nursery teachers of an Ecuadorian institution.
Method:
educational intervention in an universe of 20 nursery teachers at Dr. Arnaldo Merino Muñoz Basic Education Center, Riobamba, Ecuador. A pretest was conducted on knowledge of neurofunctions and creative pedagogical techniques, and also a posttest, after designing the Manual for Stimulation of Excelsior Neurofunctions and conducting training courses. Both tests were compared with the non-parametric McNemar test in the SPPS 24 statistical package, with a significance level of 5%.
Results:
90% of teachers are women; 60% of teachers have a bachelor's degree. There were not significant changes with the educational intervention in the use of neurofunctions, the use of games and the age, and the implementation of teaching techniques; the rest of the evaluated items had favorable modifications.
Conclusions:
the implementation of the “Excelsior” Neurofunctions Stimulation Manual through the knowledge of the physiology of the child's central nervous system, optimized the professional performance of nursery teachers.
