ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder of high prevalence in childhood that begins before the age of 12 years and persists throughout life. A prospective intervention study with mixed-methods and a quasi-experimental design was carried out. This research was aimed at designing a multimedia to contribute to the care of children with ADHD and their caregivers. A sample of 19 caregivers was selected from a population of forty-nine, who attended a multidisciplinary consultation of neurodevelopmental disorders at Chiqui Gómez Lubián Polyclinic from January, 2016 to July, 2017. The multimedia was structured in four sections that respond to the adaptation modes described by Callista Roy: what is ADHD? And what is its treatment?, coping in the caregiver role, caregiver's quality of life (adaptive responses to diagnosis) and problem solving.
