Ecuadorian universities have been involved in accreditation processes and these have promoted redesigns and designs of their careers according to demands tending to the search for quality. The objective of this work is to propose a conceptual model to carry out curricular designs and redesigns at the Technical University of Babahoyo based on the theoretical and legal framework (theoretical methods) and complemented by a survey (empirical method) applied to 36 Chancellors or Vice Chancellors. Which allowed building the practical scientific foundation for the proposal. The model is developed in 20 university careers and its effectiveness is measured by the development of another survey applied to internal experts with experience in the design and redesign processes. Normality tests (Kolmogorov-Smirnov), correlation (Spearman) is performed to determine the correspondence between the main variables imposed on the model, and the Iadov and NPS indices to demonstrate the capacity of the proposal according to user criteria. It is recognized that in the redesigns carried out there is a strong presence (correlation) of the conditioning variables of the model: professional practices, transdisciplinary, link with society, research, relevance, equity, excellence and efficiency. The experts expressed that the experience provided them with utility, usability and recommend it for its generalization.
