INFANTE ESTRABAO, Francisco; FORTEZA ROJAS, Saimelyn Aileen y FERNANDEZ ROSADO, Julio Cesar. Territorial Economic Vulnerability Assessment Using a Multi-criteria Approach. Econ. y Desarrollo [online]. 2023, vol.167, n.2 Epub 01-Jul-2023. ISSN 0252-8584.
The assessment of territorial economic vulnerability is a key analysis for defining strategies and courses of action in the public sphere. However, a high degree of subjectivity is inherent to this process, so that methodological alternatives are required to reduce preference, indifference or absence of preferences in its evaluation. The objective of this article is to carry out an evaluation of territorial economic vulnerability with a multi-criteria approach. For this purpose, a procedure based on the Saaty method structured in three phases and six steps and seven tasks was developed; as a result of its application in the municipality of CalixtoGarcía, it was determined that this municipality experiences a medium degree of economic vulnerability. Likewise, the criteria that affect this stage, which should be mitigated or eliminated through public action, were identified and prioritized.
Palabras clave : hierarchical analysis; Saaty's AHP method; relative weights.
