The objective of the research is to identify metacognitive strategies for the educational inclusion of university students with hearing and/or visual disabilities at the State University of Milagro, from the perspective of educators. For this, a qualitative-quantitative investigation is developed through in-depth interviews and directed surveys to teachers, carried out between April and May 2023. The results of the study allowed us to know that educators put into practice strategic actions with metacognitive foundations that favor the inclusion of students such as work with peers, flipped classes, projects, dialogues, critical analysis, debates, group activities, among others. In addition, they resort to actions for students to achieve their learning such as tutorials, encouragement of self-knowledge, as well as attention and concentration, and even incur extra support such as giving them support for managing emotions, positive thoughts, identification of problems in their learnings. Despite this, they highlight the need for training regarding inclusive education and the incorporation of material to work with students with visual and/or hearing disabilities. Finally, a proposal of metacognitive strategies that will contribute to the educational inclusion of university students is proposed.
