The objective of this work is to computerize the information management process of the students of the Preparatory Faculty of the University of Medical Sciences of Havana. The preliminary investigation showed that the processing and handling of the information is done manually and is stored in notebooks that deteriorated over time. This made it difficult to register, search, update and retrieve information, which translates into inefficiencies. Through the MySQL modeling and development methodology, a database with different queries was developed; according to the assigned roles, there will be access to personal data of each student and especially the characterization of intercultural coexistence, an aspect to take into account in the comprehensive evaluation of students. The work was improved in terms of quantity and quality and the integrity, reliability and promptness of the information was guaranteed.
