BONILLA MONTOYA, Anthony Fernando; GARATE AGUIRRE, Juan Carlos e NARVAEZ ZURITA, Ivonne. Effectiveness of occupational safety training programs with respect to occupational accident prevention. Conrado [online]. 2024, vol.20, n.97, pp. 115-129. Epub 30-Abr-2024. ISSN 1990-8644.
This comprehensive study focuses on occupational health and safety in the construction sector, analyzing working conditions, accident prevention and training effectiveness. Employing a mixed approach with structured surveys, it reveals varied perceptions among employees on occupational safety, highlighting the importance of improving the provision of Personal Protective Equipment. Significant correlations are identified, such as the association between receiving adequate equipment and increased health and safety awareness. Despite safety training, some employees do not experience a significant improvement in their perception of occupational safety. The findings highlight the need for specific interventions to strengthen safety culture, improve communication of policies and procedures, and ensure the effectiveness of occupational health and safety training. These findings support the urgency of implementing preventive measures and comprehensive strategies to promote safe and healthy work environments in the construction industry.
