The present article, related to a doctoral research, starts from the problematic related to the descriptive teaching of the grammar. Its objective is to propose a didactic model that contributes to the improvement of grammar teaching in preuniversity, in terms of understanding, analysis and textual construction. For the development of the research, theoretical and empirical methods were used. The variables of what and how to teach grammar are given. The theory of discourse linguistics, the new grammar of the Royal Spanish Academy and the cognitive, communicative and sociocultural approach are assumed for this purpose.
