This work presents antecedents and characteristic of the training approach of human capital that every day is booming in some regions of the world: the formation of entrepreneurs, and their relationship with Training based on competences that are applied in the educational and business sector. Later, its presented theoretical and experiential arguments about competency-based training and entrepreneur training, as well as some suggestions for its implementation, from a curriculum-based redesign proposal based on competencies, as a response to contemporary problems of professional training in Cuba and the world.
