The general objective is to base the learning methodology based on problem solving in the improvement of critical-reflective thinking in police training from a bibliographic review. The weaknesses of reflective critical thinking found from a vision of weaknesses are perceived in passivity, little commitment, lack of criticality and reflection on the learning processes, lack of decision-making and adopt a position and propose alternatives for the solution of the problem found. Faced with localized difficulties, it is possible to provide a sequence of processes on problem-based learning that consists of clarifying the terms, defining the problem, brainstorming for the analysis of the problem, clarifying the contributions for the analysis., the definition of learning goals, carry out an independent study and contribution of findings and obtaining conclusions that together improve critical-reflective thinking. At the end of the day, problem-solving-based learning is a methodological strategy that follows learning processes located where the student has the possibility of improving the problems of their environment by improving critical and reflective thinking skills from a bibliographic review.
