In this article is analyzed the importance of the photography for the cultural legacy of a country, because it provides necessary graphic evidences for the reconstruction of the collective memory. It provides the results of an investigation carried out by the authors, a digital album is obtained which contains the architecture picture in first plane to preserve the facades of properties of the Historical Center of Palmira (Cienfuegos, Cuba), built among 1875-1899, XIX century. In the study the qualitative paradigm is assumed by the value that has for the treatment of the etnographic method in the interpretation of the cultural and natural patrimony; what provided to the investigators, starting from documental testimonies, to increase new digital pictures in the first plane for the process of preservation of the facades of the selected properties.
