Resumo

La Economía y la Salud Pública en Cuba en la década de 1960. Rev Cubana Salud Pública [online]. 2000, vol.26, n.2, pp. 141-147. ISSN 1561-3127.

The paper sets forth a set of economic measures put into practice by the revolutionary government in the 60's such as Agricultural Reform Law, Nationalization of Foreign Companies and the setting of some Ministries, among others. All these actions were aimed at improving the situation of the country and raisisng the life stanadards of the population and at the same time, the paper underlines some important works carried out to solve a series of sanaitary problems that characterized the Cuban health care system. It also points out sosme of the positive results in the management of this sector for the benefit of all the Cubans during that decade.
