In this context, universities are an important scenario, recognized in the 2018 Regional Conference on Higher Education, where the challenges for Latin America and the Caribbean are established, in compliance with the 2030 agenda. The article aimed to develop a system of Indicators aligned with the SDGs and the Ecuadorian regulatory framework, their assessment scales and calculation method. It was based on the review of specialized literature, work with experts and statistical tools. The 30 proposed indicators, in relation to the environmental, economic and social dimensions, contribute to the evaluation of sustainability in Ecuadorian universities.
