This text aims to present the main elements of a methodological strategy that responds to the training process of medical students in personal learning environments (PLEs). The main reason for its implementation is the lack of guidance on how to use these tools, despite the basic mastery of the devices by students and faculty at the University of Medical Sciences of Camagüey. To this end, the theoretical, psychopedagogical, and methodological foundations for its use were established. Once the instrument was developed, its practical feasibility was assessed through the criteria of specialists and a pedagogical pre-experiment. Its application demonstrated a significant reduction in initial limitations, an increase in student autonomy, and greater teacher training. The methodological strategy is the result of a research project carried out at the Center for the Development of Social and Humanistic Sciences in Health, at this medical university, between January 2021 and December 2023.
