Abstract

A prospective and descriptive study that included 50 patients operated on of vesicular lithiasis by minimally invasive surgery and in whom the clips were substituted by intracorporeal knots was conducted aimed at knowing the results of this procedure. These patients received attention at "Celia Sánchez Manduley" Provincial Clinical and Surgical Teaching Hospital from April 12 to May 3, 2000. Aspects such as age, sex, surgical time, complications and hospital costs were analyzed. The surgical time was 20 min higher than the one used in a laparoscopic cholecystectomy by the usual technique. There were no surgical complications. It was possible to reduce the cost of surgery. It is considered that this variable is safe, more economic and may be performed in a time similar to the one used in the usual technique.
