Abstract

Evaluación de anticuerpos antiproteína C reactiva obtenidos en gallina en un ensayo de látex aglutinación. Rev Cubana Farm [online]. 2003, vol.37, n.3, pp. 1-1. ISSN 1561-2988.

The use of poultry in the production of antibodies for the immunodiagnosis would be advantageous, since differently from those obtained from mammals, they do not react to the rheumatoid factor. A latex reagent was developed with C-reactive antiprotein antibodies in poultry, and a study on its behavior was conducted by the evaluation of samples using at the same time reference commercial reagents. It was proved that the nonconcordance with some samples among the evaluated reagents resulted from the interferences of the rheumatoid factor. The reagent made of poultry antibodies proved to be sensitive and specific to C-reactive antiprotein, eliminating the false positives. It was demonstrated that besides the economic advantages of its use, it is a really attractive species for the obtention of anitbodies for the immunodiagnosis.
