Abstract

MOREDO ROMO, Edelisa; MOREIRA PRECIADO, Marisela  and  PEREZ LOPEZ, Aylet. Use of interferons in Dermatology: experience with alpha-interferon in mycosis fungoides. Rev Cubana Farm [online]. 2004, vol.38, n.2, pp. 1-1. ISSN 1561-2988.

Literature was reviewed and the wide use of interferons (INFs) in Dermatology was proved. A retrospective study of 7 patients that were diagnosed mycosis fungoides and treated with recombinant alpha-interferon (alpha-INFR ) was presented It effectiveness in the treatment of this disease and its availability in Cuba were demonstrated. The adverse effects observed in the used doses were mainly fever, chills and malaise that improved with analgesic treatment. No hematological adverse effects were observed.
