Abstract

5 patients suffering from Behcet´s syndrome were studied according to the criteria established to detect it. Oral ulcers were observed in all of them, genitalia lesions, in 4; nodose erythema, in 3; pathergy, in 3; arthritis, in 2; vascular occlusion, in 2; papulopustular and pyodermal lesions, in 3; and acneiform lesions, in 1. There was no ocular lesion of those considered as criterion in any of the patients under study, but chronic bilateral angular conjunctivitis was found in one of them. It was observed the association of this disease with recidivist polychondritis (MAGIC syndrome) in another patient that is the first case reported in Cuba.
