Abstract

To choice the right time to initiate an antibiotic therapy is a daily clinical question mark since if there are evidences that in diverse types of infections, the early use of antibiotics is related to an improvement in diagnosis, also is associated with the potential increment of antibiotic resistance. The aim of present review is to discuss on features as which are the entities where the early use of antibiotics is related to a better prognosis, what type or types of antibiotics be used, the onset time and which is the better time to discontinue them.
