Abstract

ALMAGUER ALMAGUER, . José Alberto; CUTIE BRESSLER, Marta Lucía  and  LESTAYO DORTA, Constantino. Our experience in the treatment by microsurgery of the tuboperitoneal factor in female infertility. Rev Cubana Obstet Ginecol [online]. 1996, vol.22, n.2, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3062.

120 patients with the diagnosis of infertility were studied at the "Dr. Luis Díaz Soto" Hospital. It was found that the tuboperitoneal factor was the cause of this infertility. The antecedents most frequently found were: abortion, miscarriage, and acute and chronic inflamatory disease. The complementary studies were: microcurettage, chemography, and contrast laparoscopy. Up to now we have obtained a total of 54 pregnancies; of them 34 deliveries, 14 cesarian sections and 20 eutocic deliveries. Among the rest we found miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy. The results were considered as satisfactory and there was a short time interval between surgical treatment and pregnancy, contrary to other reports. Therefore, microsurgery is considered as a new method for the fertility specialist.

Keywords : INFERTILITY, FEMALE [surgery]; MICROSURGERY; INFERTILITY, FEMALE [etiology].
