Abstract

A linear descriptive and prospective study was conducted on 1 273 pregnancy terminations, with gestational time of 6 to 8 weeks, made through dilatation and curettage procedures in the Gynecological and Obstetric Hospital in Matanzas from July,1996 to January,1997. The studied variables were: type of complications, symptoms at admission to the hospital and age. It was confirmed that 4,87% of pregnancy terminations had complications, being the incomplete abortion the most frequent.
