Abstract
GONZALEZ-QUEVEDO RODRIGUEZ, Mario; LARIONOVA, María; MARTINEZ GONZALEZ, Ana M. and MARRERO GONZALEZ, Orlando. Evaluación de la acción antiinflamatoria del producto FL-1. Rev Cub Med Mil [online]. 2003, vol.32, n.2, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3046.
It was evaluated the antiinflammatory action of the FL-1 herbal product (new C-glycosyl flavone) by using the model of leg edema induced by formaldehyde. 4 groups of Wistar rats were studied: group I with a dose of 0.2 mg of FL-1 per kg of weight, group II with a dose of 0.3 mg per kg of weight, group III with a dose of 18 mg of neomelubrine per kg of weight, and group IV without treatment. The measurements to observe changes of volume of the legs were made at the beginning, at 24 and 48 hours. The statistical study was carried out by the test of Kruskal-Wallis (a: 0,05). There were significant differences in the measurements at 24 hours between the group I and IV. Marked differences were also observed at 48 hours between groups I and IV; II and IV; III and IV. The results showed that the FL-1 product has an antiinflammatroy effect on the leg edema induced by formaldehyde.
