Abstract
NODARSE HERNANDEZ, Rafael. Evaluación de la resistencia bacteriana in vitro durante 13 años en una institución. Rev Cub Med Mil [online]. 2004, vol.33, n.1, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3046.
The evaluation of in vitro bacterial resistance was made at "Dr. Luis Díaz Soto" Military Central Hospital from 1990 to 2002. The behavior of 9 348 bacterial strains isolated during this period against 9 antibiotics of traditional use that were divided for this study into 3 groups: betalactamic, aminoglucosides and "others" was analyzed. It was observed that bacterial resistance diminished in all groups, in a larger or lesser extent, until 1994, and increased in a regular and continual way from this year on until 2002. As it is very complex to determine the possible causes of this behavior of bacterial resistance, it was decided to show only the results of this paper and to leave the explanation for a next research.
