Abstract

ANAYA CRUZ, Betsy. Productive Chains with Economic and Social Impact: Citrus Fruits Case in Cuba. Econ. y Desarrollo [online]. 2015, vol.154, n.1, pp. 105-117. ISSN 0252-8584.

The article deals with one of the subject matters of the current updating process of the Cuban social and economic model: the articulation of productive chains. The paper introduces some basic elements on the theory of the productive enchainment, and it discusses the relevance of the analysis of such chains for the Cuban agricultural sector, for it is precisely in this field where, according with The Guidelines of the economic and social policy of the Party and the Revolution, it is more convenient to articulate them. Finally, the article examines the citrus fruits production enterprise "Victoria de Girón" experience, for, because of its results, this institution has become an example to success to imitate.
