Abstract

SANCHEZ MACHADO, Inocencio Raúl  and  LEDESMA MARTINEZ, Zulma María. Risk in Pre-Investment Studies - Comparative Analysis of Regulations Currently in Force in Cuba - Proposal for Improvement. Econ. y Desarrollo [online]. 2019, vol.162, n.2, e8.  Epub Aug 12, 2019. ISSN ISSN.

In Cuba, there is a pressing need for investment to be encouraged, so the economy can be revitalized. The current structure of the Cuban economy is highly sensitive to changes in world markets. The increase in investment from abroad and future scenarios for investment require that decision-makers conduct feasibility studies to discern the pros and cons of projects. Regulations for investment appraisal need to be continuously improved, so decisions made can contribute to the intended economic growth. Pre-investment studies are potential aids to decision-making.

Keywords : Risk; investment; projects.
