Abstract

VAZQUEZ ORTIZ, Yazmín Bárbara. Neoliberalism, Civil Society and Political-ideological Domination in the 21st Century. Econ. y Desarrollo [online]. 2021, vol.165, n.1, e4.  Epub Dec 15, 2020. ISSN ISSN.

A conservative offensive is sweeping the world. The changes in the correlation of political forces in Latin America after what became known as the progressive cycle since the beginning of the 21st century, the results of elections and political processes in Europe and the United States, among other facts, are a sign of this. They are an expression of the link between the processes of concentration of wealth, capital and political power that are occurring on an international scale. With the objective of analyzing the foundations of this phenomenon from the incidence of the neoliberal project, the present work addresses two processes that are considered key to understanding the situation: the corporatization of knowledge and politics. From its analysis, it is intended to deepen in the particularities and impacts of the insertion of civil society in the disputes for power in the context of what is defined as global capitalism.

Keywords : political and ideological domination; neoliberalism; civil society.
