Abstract

The research exposes the main results obtained in the classification of innovation capabilities in the Center for Apicultural Research (CIAPI). Techniques of mathematical statistics, documentary analysis, interviews, surveys, and Delphi method by round are applied. Expert opinion is validated with the application of the Kendall W coefficient and its non-parametric hypothesis test. The entity has identified its key technologies for the achievement of innovation, personnel and possesses the necessary knowledge for their use. The proposed classification table is designed to evaluate innovation capabilities, which shows that although the CIAPI does not present the characteristics of a totally innovative entity, it can potentially become one with trained personnel involved in the requirements of an innovation model.
