The Science Technology and Innovation Entities play a fundamental role in the diversification of the portfolio of products, services and markets developed by Cuban universities as part of the projections for the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda and the country's sustainable development objectives. The objective of this article is to expose the conceptual elements that allow the design of a methodology for the ex-post evaluation of the commercialization of the results of R&D&I projects in research centers attached to universities. Several methods and techniques were used that allowed moving from the analysis of the theoretical and conceptual foundations, to propose the methodology, which starts from the process of commercialization of the results of R+D+i and the possibilities of generating new development projects, emerging as an instrument of analysis and projection that guides the actions of the managers for the fulfillment of the objectives of the organization.
