Abstract

GARCIA BELLO, Mignelys; RAMIREZ CRUZ, Zulma Donelly  and  MUNOZ GONZALEZ, Roberto. Componentes del sistema de monitoreo de la vulnerabilidad alimentario-nutricional en Villa Clara. Propuesta preliminar. Econ. y Desarrollo [online]. 2024, vol.168, n.1  Epub Feb 20, 2024. ISSN 0252-8584.

Monitoring systems are essential to measure and evaluate food-nutritional security, since they can provide accurate, updated and reliable information to design effective policies and programs around the most vulnerable population groups, based on the risks they face and the capacity response from individuals and households. Taking into account the priority of the problem in the management of governments at the national, provincial and municipal levels in Cuba, the objective of the present investigation is to determine the components of a monitoring system of food-nutritional vulnerability for the province of Villa Clara. The study is based on the perspective of dialectical materialism and several of the inherent methods such as the logical-historical and the analytical-synthetic; At the empirical level, documentary analysis was used. The proposed components are conceived in correspondence with the cycle of public policies and adapted to the conditions and characteristics of the territory.

Keywords : evaluation; stakeholder participation; public policies; food security.
