From classic characters Antigone, Fausto, Medea and Ulysses, the Mayombe Theatre Group debut, in 2013, the theatrical production celebrating its 18 years of existence, Klássico (with K). The objective of this paper is to discuss how the group takes up the themes of love and violence to reframe the myths and contextualize them to our contemporaneity
