Abstract

KOHAN, Néstor. On Lenin's Theory of Imperialism. UH [online]. 2017, n.284, pp.207-220. ISSN 0253-9276.

Revisiting works of Lenin is a necessity for many scholars in this century. However, when they have done it they have realized, by understanding his historical context and political views, that it can't be spoken of one Lenin, or he can't be unidirectionally judged. Therefore, where to read Lenin and what are his main works are another analyzes performed in this paper. Lenin's main theses on imperialism are explained, as well as how the Brazilian intellectual Ruy Mauro Marini's works and Dependency theory developed from a Marxian perspective have been based on works of the Russian politician. Finally, some questions leading to future studies which will always start from the necessity for Lenin to be revisited are asked.

Keywords : Various Readings of Lenin; Theses on Imperialism; Ruy Mauro Marini; Dependency Theory Developed from a Marxian Perspective.
