Abstract

Taking examples of spoken language corpora as starting points, this paper examines advantages of contextualization for didactics and language description. It also issues some guidelines on exploiting discourse corpora in teaching-learning process. Additionally, it refers to the main spoken language corpora on the Internet. The use of, according to the New Grammar of the Spanish Language, "pero" (but), "ni" (neither) as a scalar adverb in Spanish, "bueno" (well/good), the particles "si" (if/whether) or "ni" (either/neither), as well as the quasi-grammatical construction "se ve (que)" (? It shows that...) is discussed.
