PESANTEZ AVILES, Fernando; MARTIN SABINA, Elvira and BOJORQUE CHASI, Rodolfo. A critical view to the Ecuadorian Higher Education system access. Rev. Cubana Edu. Superior [online]. 2015, vol.34, n.2, pp. 63-76. ISSN 0257-4314.
The present essay attempts to evidence the existing relations between Ecuatorian higher education access, and the so-called Good Living Regime. To this aim, the text incorporates equity and inclusion visions as key elements as to access, as well as stressing the importance of resuming the ideological elements of America's native people who find in the referred to as Sumak Kawsay the structured component of the good living essence. Besides, the essay highlights the social problems involving the exclusion of the educational system, in general, and the higher level, in particular; the one mandated to act as a public social good, and of being the educational level which generates and socializes science, reproducing it based on technologies, and promotes its innovation directly related with the social needs for the sake of a permanent and sustainable development.
