For the last ten years, environmental processes carried out in several universities have focused in designing and implementing strategies that make possible the environmental dimension' inclusion in the core functions of such institutions. Those processes have given priority to the curricular inclusion of environmental topics. However, in many cases the actions towards the professors' environmental training as a first step to embark in the path towards environmentalization have not been present. This article unveils possible places to influence professors' training, and it also introduces an analysis of environmental training process' potential in such training in order to guarantee the success of higher education environmental aspect strategies.
