Abstract

PENA, Sergio Luis; PEREZ, Milvia; MORALES, Claudia  and  ALVAREZ, Miguel Ángel. On-Skills Training for Industrial Design Students. Rev. Cubana Edu. Superior [online]. 2017, vol.36, n.2, pp.95-101. ISSN 0257-4314.

The study of competencies acquired by students of Industrial Design career from the Higher Institute of Industrial Design (HIID) was the objective of the present research. The academic results of 77 students over a five years period of studies were analyzed. The result was that the students specific competencies were classified into Design Competencies (DC) and Industrial Design Competencies (IDC). It was also found that this taxonomy coincides with the curricular design created from a pedagogical experience and Work Practices was identified as the subject that better explains the students academic performance.
