This paper presents preliminary results obtained in an ongoing doctoral research intended for professors to develop science communication skills. It is aimed at reflecting on communication as essential to the progress of science, its significance to make scientific research carried out at higher education institutions visible, and presenting the results of designing and running a workshop focused on science communication training for professors.
